I was born in Washington, D.C. but most of my early years were spent in Kansas with a couple of stops in Charlotte and Oklahoma City;  then, our family moved back to Washington, D.C., Miami, and the Panama Canal Zone.  After the University of Florida (go Gators!), I became a stewardess (say flight attendant) for United Airlines, made reservations for Southern Airways, and ultimately worked for Delta Air Lines in the Consumer Affairs department.  I retired from Delta after 22 years July 1, 2000.

My husband, Phil, and I bought our cabin on Pace's Peninsula at Lake Martin in 1990 and were "weekenders" until 1998 when we moved here permanently.  We have two children, Matt and Kate, and a granddaughter Peyton, who love to come here whenever they can.

I am a member of Red Ridge United Methodist Church and sing in the choir.  Phil and I are both very involved with our volunteer fire department.  Phil is a firefighter/EMT and we are both first responders.  In our "spare" time we occasionally travel to visit family and friends and to explore new places.
